The 4-H Teen Leaders club is for high school students who want to develop leadership skills, participate in community service, explore career interests, and connect with other teens.

Members take an active role in shaping the club experience. Each year, participants elect club officers, share their interests, and work together to plan activities, service projects, guest speakers, field trips, and leadership opportunities.

Past activities have included:

• Touring local organizations while learning about careers and community resources.
• Meeting with professionals and community leaders to explore different career pathways and leadership experiences.
• Participating in service projects, including park cleanups and eel monitoring.
• Taking part in presentations and workshops led by the Center for Safety & Change, LifeForce Self-Defense, the Shriners, and other community partners.
• Planning and leading activities at community events to engage youth and families and promote 4-H.

Who Can Join?

Students in grades 10–12.

When?

Meetings are typically held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 6:00–7:30 p.m.

Where?

Meetings are held at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland County (10 Patriot Hills Drive, Stony Point, NY 10980) and at various community locations throughout Rockland County and the surrounding area.

Cost

$30 for the program year, plus any applicable fees for optional trips or special activities.

How to Join

Enrollment for the 2026–2027 program year takes place from September through October.
