What is the 4-H Veterinary Science Career Exploration Program?
The 4-H Veterinary Science Career Exploration Program gives high school students (grades 9-12) an opportunity to explore veterinary careers and develop skills with experienced animal professionals.
In this series, participants will:

When/Where does the program meet?
Most sessions are held on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:00
PM at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland County (10 Patriot Hills Drive Stony Point, N.Y. 10980) from October to December.
2024 Program Schedule:
- October 7: Cat Care & Handling
- October 21: Equine Veterinary Care
- October 28: Veterinary Technology / College Visit, Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry
- November 4: Exotic Animal Care & Handling, Rockland BOCES, West Nyack
- November 18: Anatomy & Physiology / Owl Pellet Dissection
- November 25: Oradell Animal Hospital Tour, Paramus, NJ
- December 2: 6:00pm - 8:00pm: Case Studies in Veterinary Medicine / Snake & Frog Dissection
- December 9: A "Day in the Life" of a Veterinarian / Education Considerations and Critical Thinking
- December 16: Snow Date
