What is the 4-H Veterinary Science Career Exploration Program?
The 4-H Veterinary Science Career Exploration Program gives high school students (grades 9-12) an opportunity to explore veterinary careers and develop skills with experienced animal professionals.
In this series, participants will:

When/Where does the program meet?
Most sessions are held on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:00
PM at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland County (10 Patriot Hills Drive Stony Point, N.Y. 10980) from October to December.
2022 Tentative Schedule:
- October 3: Introduction to Veterinary Medicine
- October 17: Oradell Animal Hospital Tour (580 Winters Ave, Paramus, NJ 07652)
- October 24: Veterinary Technology, Mercy College (555 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, NY 10522)
- Saturday, November 5: Horse Care and Rehabilitation
- November 7: Exotic Animal Care & Handling, Rockland BOCES (65 Parrott Road, West Nyack, NY 10994)
- November 14: Anatomy & Physiology / Sheep Heart Dissection
- November 21: Case Studies in Veterinary Medicine / Frog Dissection
- November 28: A "Day in the Life" of a Veterinarian / Education Considerations and Critical Thinking
- December 5: Cat Care & Handling
