What is Veterinary Science Career Exploration Program?

Veterinary Science career exploration program is a 4-H youth development program of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland County, offered to high school students, grades 9-12,  interested in a career working with animals. This 8 session program offers an insight to the veterinary science field.

Goals of the program:

  • Introduce high school students to various aspects of veterinary medicine
  • Provide students with valuable opportunities to meet and speak with local professionals
  • Enhance student knowledge and interest in animal care and husbandry
  • Produce competent and caring animal enthusiasts

Where are the programs located?

The programs are held at Cornell Cooperative Extension Education Center, 10 Patriot Hills Dr, Stony Point, New York 10980.

Is there a program fee? 

The program fee is $100.00* due with registration.

Financial assistance is available for families with demonstrated need.
*Registration fee must be paid in full prior to the first session of the program.
