Is your child ready for high school — and beyond?
This summer, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland County’s 4-H Program and the Rockland County Youth Bureau are launching 4-H Beyond Ready, a week-long program designed to help middle school students build confidence, leadership, and practical life skills before entering high school.
Rockland County students entering grades 7-9
Monday - Friday, August 17 - 21, 2026, 10:00 am - 2:30 pm
Participants will engage in expert-led workshops, team-building activities, and real-world learning experiences focused on:
Beyond Ready is designed to help youth grow academically, socially, and emotionally while connecting with positive adult mentors and peers from across Rockland County.
Lunch is provided daily, along with snacks and activity supplies.
The program will be facilitated by Kristin Ruggiero, Rockland County’s 4-H Youth Development Educator, with workshops led by Cornell Cooperative Extension staff, volunteers, and local professionals.
