Real Climate Solutions: Drawdown, Natural Step, & Resilience

Session Description:

As we confront the urgency of climate change, we are also seeing groundbreaking new solutions ranging from new forms of renewable to energy to new ways of understanding our relationship with the earth.

Manna Jo Greene will discuss a variety of climate solutions, such as the Natural Step principles – and some of the solutions outlined in Paul Hawken’s book, Drawdown, including regenerative agriculture. She will also discuss some of the principles that can be used to distinguish greenwash from genuinely effective technologies and methods. Greene will also explore how we can create more resilient local communities.

Manna Jo Greene is the Environmental Director for Hudson River Sloop Clearwater and the Committee Chair for Ulster County Climate Smart Communities
