School Garden Network

The School Garden Network (SGN) of Rockland County supports sustainable gardening, youth development and nature-based learning programs in Rockland County schools and provides a forum for exchanging information and resources. Teachers and school volunteers do not need to have a school garden or gardening experience to benefit from the SGN’s rich resource of green activities. Educators involved in establishing and maintaining a school garden or growing programs now have a network designed for all levels of gardening experience (and able to provide resources such as common core-aligned curriculum.)

The School Garden Network offers a variety of resources and services, including:

  • Professional Development Workshops
  • Site Visits to schools or other educational institutions to help start or develop a garden*
  • Subscription to Rockland County School Garden Network newsletter
