Institute for Non-Profits presents: Social and Digital Media Strategy Basics for 2018

  • Tuesday, November 14, 2017, 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Is your organization still clinging to their Google Plus and MySpace pages? It's almost 2018 and the rules have changed - but the need for engagement remains the same. Take 2 hours and analyze your current social and digital presences, and learn some best practices that can help you develop your strategy and implement tactics for Social Media in 2018 and beyond. Participants will be asked to complete some pre-work including a basic analysis of their organization's social media presences, and their current usage and goals.

About the presenter:

Howard Greenstein is the Associate Executive Director of the Manny Cantor Center at Educational Alliance in New York City. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer in the MS in Nonprofit Management at Columbia University's School of Professional Studies. Howard has created the strategy for online presences for clients including WeTV, New York Road Runners/NY Marathon, The Association for Junior Leagues International, and more. In 2006 he co-founded SocialMediaClub.org, an international nonprofit for social media practitioners, and sat on the board of directors. Howard got his first email address at Cornell in 1985 and has been online ever since. He obtained his BS from Cornell University and an MPS in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU's ITP program. He's also a member of the Cornell University Council.
